The Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship

Chant Thompson served as executive director of NACCAP for 28 years. Prior to serving Christian institutions through NACCAP, Thompson was the dean of enrollment management at Huntington University, a Christian college and NACCAP member institution. He spent his career advancing Christian education and continues to do so in his retirement.

This scholarship is designed to encourage students to attend a Christian college or university as they prepare for their future career and calling. Students who currently attend a NACCAP member high school and plan to enroll in a NACCAP member Christian college or university are eligible to apply.

Application now open! Students are encouraged to submit an application prior to the March 14, 2025, deadline. Scholarship recipients will receive a $1000 scholarship to assist with costs associated with attending college.

Application details:

The Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors attending a NACCAP member high school and planning to attend a NACCAP member college or university. Eligible colleges and universities can be found online.

Award amount: $1,000 non-renewable. Funds will be distributed directly to the college/university after NACCAP receives verification of student enrollment at a NACCAP member school.

Deadline: The application deadline is March 15, 2025.

Application Requirements:

  1. Students should have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA (unweighted).
  2. Submit online application, including short answer essay questions.
  3. Copy of high school transcript, including first semester senior year grades. Transcripts should be sent directly from applicant's high school by email to scholarships@naccap.org or by mail to NACCAP Scholarships, PO Box 5211, Huntington, IN 46750. Must be postmarked by March 15, 2025.
  4. Finalists will participate in a virtual interview conducted by a committee member(s).

It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that NACCAP has received all required materials by the application deadline. Applicants can email scholarships@naccap.org with any questions.

Scholarship notifications:

Finalists will be notified by April 15.
