Graduate, Adult, Professional Studies & Seminary

NACCAP expanded its membership to graduate, seminary and degree completion programs in 2000. Recognizing the GAP population faces unique challenges, NACCAP provides specialized services to encourage and support GAP members.

Professional development opportunities include webinars, quarterly meetings, new admissions counselor trainings, and a GAP track at our national conference geared toward generating leads, marketing strategies, benchmarking research, and sales training. Our goal is to create a vibrant networking community of like-minded individuals who are committed to refining their trade and growing professionally.

GAP Research

NACCAP is pleased to share the results of the 2021 Graduate Admissions Survey. This survey of graduate admission professionals marked the beginning of an annual data-gathering about enrollment trends, structure, programs offered, reporting lines, and scope of duties for the leader of graduate admissions. Our 2nd annual study is scheduled to launch early in 2023.

2020 Survey of Seminary Admissions Professionals. This initial seminary admission study by NACCAP yielded some valuable data, creating a baseline for future students and hopefully momentum for others to participate. A summary of the 2020 Survey of Seminary Admissions Professions, which includes enrollment trends, recruiting budgets, sources of new students, as well as staffing & productivity ratios can be viewed here. Our next Seminary admission survey is anticipated for Fall of 2022.

GAP Research and Benchmarking (Past Results and Current Projects) - NACCAP partners with Tim Fuller, founder of Fuller Higher Ed Solutions and longtime leader of the NACCAP Enrollment Research Project, to explore trends in GAP recruiting, staffing, and budgeting.

Suggestions for additional questions for future students, questions & observations about this data, and other ideas for enhancing the NACCAP experience for seminary enrollment leaders are welcomed and appreciated. Please communicate survey ideas and program ideas to Molly Smith (Director of Special Programs at NACCAP at  molly@naccap.org.

NAGAP Partnership

In 2021, The North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP), represented by Executive Director Phil Cook, and NAGAP, the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management, represented by President Jeremiah Nelson, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) earlier this fall. The signing of the MOU is intended to express a common vision for the partnership, identify shared goals and objectives, implement action steps for working to meet these goals and objectives, and maintain communication that benefits both organizations and their members.

NACCAP and NAGAP have identified mutual interests in a number of key areas including, but not limited to, research and current information gathering; educational, networking, and professional development opportunities; collaboration and scholarship in graduate enrollment management; attendance and joint presentations at each organization's annual conference(s); and discounted memberships.

"We are thrilled to partner with such an outstanding organization as NAGAP," said Cook. "Their expertise in graduate enrollment management will provide additional resources, data and professional development to the NACCAP membership." Keith Ramsdell, Chair of NAGAP's External Relations and Partnerships Committee stated, "We're very excited to formalize this partnership with NACCAP. We look forward to exploring ways in which we can collaborate to meet the needs of both organizations' members."
