The North American Coalition for Christian Admission Professionals (NACCAP) is pleased to announce the launch of the third annual Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship, continuing its commitment to supporting students pursuing Christian higher education.

This scholarship was established in honor of Chant Thompson, whose legacy of faith and leadership profoundly impacted Christian higher education. The inaugural gift, which laid the foundation for the scholarship, was generously provided by Bob and Betty Cripe (Goshen, Indiana), Chant’s in-laws. Their vision and generosity continue to inspire others to support this meaningful initiative.

This year, NACCAP received another significant lead gift from Bryan and Traci Cook (Cleveland, Tennessee), whose contribution will help expand the scholarship’s reach and impact. The Cooks noted, “(We) are honored to support this worthy cause. We believe in the importance of investing in the next generation of Christian leaders, and it's a privilege to contribute to a scholarship that so beautifully embodies the legacy of Christ-centered service on which Chant Thompson stood.”

“As we enter the third year of the Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship, we are reminded of how faithful partnerships help turn vision into reality,” said Dr. Molly Smith, vice president of external engagement. “We are deeply grateful to those who have generously sown into this effort and continue to honor Chant’s legacy by making Christian higher education more accessible.”

Individuals and organizations interested in contributing to the Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship fund may do so at naccap.org/donations.

Applications for the 2025 scholarship opened January 15; recipients will be announced in April.

In its 55th year, NACCAP serves more than 390 member institutions, including K-12, undergraduate, graduate, seminary and degree completion programs, as well as associate members from around the world. More than 2,500 professional staff are served as NACCAP continues its mission of serving and engaging its members by providing vital professional development and initiatives that champion the cause for Christian education. NACCAP institutions collectively enroll more than 400,000 students across K-12 and higher education levels.
