Chant Thompson served as executive director of NACCAP for 28 years. Prior to serving Christian institutions through NACCAP, Thompson was the dean of enrollment management at Huntington University, a Christian college and NACCAP member institution. He spent his career advancing Christian education and continues to do so in his retirement.
This scholarship is designed to encourage students to attend a Christian college or university as they prepare for their future career and calling. Students who currently attend a NACCAP member high school and plan to enroll in a NACCAP member Christian college or university are eligible to apply.
Ron Moss was a seasoned educational professional who dedicated nearly five decades to college counseling, admissions, and enrollment management including 12 years of his career as the director of guidance and college counseling at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas (a NACCAP member school), before retiring in 2021. He served on NACCAP’s board of directors and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. Moss was instrumental in the creation of NACCAP’s Counselor Certification Program, which provides training and certification in all aspects of college counseling and advising.
The Ron and Deb Moss Kingdom Builders Scholarship started by Ron and his wife Deb, is designed to encourage professional development of NACCAP’s K-12 college counselors, specifically through the Counselor Certification Program.
Finances are a major concern for most graduate students and opportunities for scholarships are rare. ChristianGradSchools.com awards several scholarships a year valid at NACCAP member institutions.
